In Venice, the Hyatt Centric resides within the historical walls of a former glass-blowing workshop. After we converted the publicly accessible areas such as reception, lounge and gastronomy, the hotel is now characterized by a distinctive lightness, a special color and material feel as well as skillfully deployed eyecatchers. The interior is ideally tailored to the target group consisting of young, curious travelers, and influenced by the environment of Murano and Venice.
In the newly designed areas, shades of blue, beige and gold dominate, according to the concept “glass and water”. Among other things, this comprises an impressive crystal chandelier made by the Venini manufacture residing in Murano, which expertly stages the lobby. New seating niches serve as a refuge. In the passage to the bar another highlight can be found: a three-dimensional light and art installation made of handmade bluish glass panes typical for the region. This stages the passage to the implied underwater world in the bar Spritz & Fizz. Decorated in deep blue and with more than 70 framed photoprints, it is the perfect spot for the last drink of the evening. In addition, the previously unused green in front of the entrance was equipped with numerous indigenous plants and inviting seating facilities, so that visitors can fully enjoy the “dolce far niente”.
