Recently, our project repertoire has been expanded by another H2 Hotel, which is located in the North Rhine-Westphalian capital in the business district Seestern. The district is also considered to be a popular location for hotels and has a fast connection to the city center as well as to the exhibition grounds and the airport.
The H2 Hotel in Leipzig, which was also planned by us and completed in 2020, served as a basis. Thus, for instance, the blue-grey color concept was adapted and selected characteristic design elements from the Leipzig interior were adopted and adjusted to the local conditions of Düsseldorf. The biggest difference: Construction work in an existing building and the conversion from an office building into a hotel. The former office building was complemented with a one-story annex, in which the openly designed gastronomy area finds its space. Just like in Leipzig, here, too, modular elements are used: the tables we call ‘A tables’ with their metal cheeks and integrated lighting, the white, inserted gridded seating baskets as well as the high tables. The single and double rooms as well as the rooms with 2 and 4 beds are laid out for families, couples and friends travelling together. Different than in Leipzig, open bathrooms were implemented in the double rooms, in order to create spacious width and generosity.By means of a curtain, it is possible to provide for more intimacy. Here, too, the corporate color – the blue – can be found: at the beams and the ceiling aprons.
