In the Swabian town Bad Buchau, the thermal bath Adelindis Therme provides for tranquility, energy and relaxation, und is therefore a real oasis of recreation. On approximately 2,300 sqm, we were able to act out our creative ability in the foyer, the changing rooms, the gastronomy with its outdoor area, several relaxation rooms, as well as the rooftop garden with panoramic sauna and the relax panorama pool. In addition, we developed the plan for the renovation of the existing outdoor area with basin.
Adelindis Therme belongs to the Health Center Federsee, and exactly this fact has had a relevant influence on the interior, just like the close-to-nature region. The regional reference already becomes evident in the generous entrance hall where stone age treasures found in Bad Buchau are integrated in a concrete wall. The three-dimensional, wave-shaped wall made of wooden slats in the entrance area is an impression of the Federsee and thus also reflects the topography of the lake. This is also expressed in the thematically designed relaxation rooms. For instance, in the relaxation room “Abtauchen” with its dark blue coloring and the round disk lamps reminiscent of a reflecting water surface. The relaxation room “Lichtblick” has a special design as well: The lasered wall we designed and that is pervaded by a hole pattern, provides for a magical interplay of light and shadow due to the incidence of light.
