Hapimag has been operating its Holiday Apartments in Vienna’s 8th district, more precisely, on Neudeggergasse 16 and 18, since 1989. Within the scope of an architectural competition we won, we are redesigning the interior of the 34 apartments and the lobby of the resort. In the process, we are filling the apartments with a touch of history by means of the cat motives in the bedroom – a hint to the name “Zu den drei Katzeln” (“The Three Cats“), which has applied to the house number 16 for a long time. On the other hand, the house with the number 18 was called “Zum heiligen Leonhard” (“Saint Leonhard”); a fresco of the saint also finds its place again in the façade of the new building.
Further design topics are opulence and baroque, which are expressed by means of decorative brass elements, baroque images with a modern touch and the opulent headboards in the apartments. The mentality of new wine (“Heuriger”) and the proximity to nature are expressed by the green color scheme, wallpaper with an ivy pattern, real plants and the natural stone optics. Vinyl flooring in herringbone pattern and coffered walls and cabinet surfaces mark the architecture with all the structures so typical for Vienna.
