A haven of tranquility: Adelindis Therme

The thermal bath Adelindis Therme, which belongs to the health center Federsee, offers as many as 14,000 sqm of pure wellness pleasures. A large sauna landscape, the experience of an outdoor activity park and steaming outdoor pools provide the special flair of experiences focusing on health and activity.

We were allowed to show our expertise in the spa area on a space of close to 2,300 sqm, so that, in 2019, we were commissioned to plan the interior of the entrance hall, gastronomy including the outdoor area, sauna and changing rooms, resting areas, roof garden and the design for the restructuring of the existing outer area with basins.The core values of the concept were regionality, health, nature and brightness. Guests already encounter the first geographical reference in the generous entrance hall: Here, archaeological finds from the Stone Age are integrated in the concrete wall. The lake Federsee also received its place in the form of a three-dimensional wavy wall consisting of wooden lamellae and meant to display the lake’s topography. Unwinding and recreating is possible in the resting rooms that are thematically arranged with their special design. Thus, for instance, the room “Abtauchen” which is given the appearance of the Federsee by its dark blue coloring as well as the round disk lamps under the ceiling. Or the room “Lichtblick”, in which a magical light and shadow effect is achieved by letting the light in through the stamped holes of a perforated wall. The completion is planned for next month.
