Where a foundry was operated until 1995, today, there is the new construction of the Maritim Hotel and Congress Center Ingolstadt. In collaboration with Reinhardt und Sander Gesellschaft mbH Planung und Baubetreuung, the timelessly elegant interior of the public areas, like the restaurant with a space of 543m², the inviting hotel bar, or the multi-functional conference room emerged.
Generosity and flexibility are displayed already in the entrance area of the hotel. An extensive hall welcomes the guests and leads them into the hotel lobby via a stairway. The particularity here: Thanks to a dividing wall, the hotel lobby can be converted into an almost 170 sqm large conference room. Just like the lobby, the à la carte Bistro Ingold, the conference room as well as the in-house bar can be adjusted in size and use to the changing needs by means of mobile glass and sliding partitions.
Warming colors and metallic shine are found in the interior of the gastronomic offering of the hotel. For instance, in the Restaurant Danubio with its generous outdoor terrace, inviting guests to linger with warm, rust red and copper-colored accents. An eyecatcher here is the partially employed acoustically effective metal-mirror-wave on the ceiling reflecting light and atmosphere. Round pendant luminaires seem like metallic drops floating down from the ceiling. In combination with the various shining and mirroring surfaces as well as the rust red color accents, we remind visitors of the location’s history as a former foundry site.
